  • Why types of therapy do you offer?

Our therapy practice offers a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapy, psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and more. We tailor our approach to suit your unique needs and goals. We offer individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy and parent coaching.

  • Do you take insurance?

At our therapy practice, we have made a conscious decision not to work directly with insurance companies. This choice allows us to prioritize your privacy, autonomy, and the quality of care you receive. Our commitment is to provide a safe, compassionate, and personalized therapeutic experience, putting your well-being at the forefront of our practice. You can rest assured that your therapy journey with us will be centered around you, without the constraints often associated with insurance billing.

  • What is a Superbill?

A superbill is a detailed receipt provided to you after each therapy session, containing all the necessary information required for potential reimbursement from your insurance company. While we do not directly work with insurance, we understand the importance of accessible mental health care. By utilizing superbills, you can independently seek reimbursement from your insurance provider according to their policies. Please note that the reimbursement amount depends on your particular insurance plan. If you would like a better estimate as to what that reimbursement looks like specific to your plan, please ensure with your insurance company using the CPT billing codes below.

  • What is a good faith estimate?

Effective 1/1/2022, the No Suprise Act requires all healthcare providers (including mental health therapists) to provide a Good Faith Estimate if you are un-insured or choose not to use your insurance to cover your services.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

    • • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
    • • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
    • • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
    • • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-877-696-6775.
